Introducing Connect Club!

A neurodiversity-affirming virtual peer group for autistic kids ages 9–13

Does your autistic child want to connect with other kids but sometimes find conversations, making friends, or navigating peer interactions challenging?

Connect Club is a small, supportive virtual social group led by a Speech-Language Pathologist where autistic kids can:

💬 Practice starting and maintaining conversations
🤝 Build healthy friendships with other peers
🧠 Navigate different perspectives and social situations
📣 Build self-advocacy skills
🔄 Practice handling disagreements and unexpected changes
🌟 Build confidence while embracing their autistic identity

This isn't about teaching kids to “fit in” or change who they are.

It's about creating a space where they can be themselves, connect with peers, and build communication skills that support meaningful relationships.

At Connect Club, we don't believe autistic children need to hide or change who they are in order to have friendships.

We recognize that communication looks different for everyone.

Your autistic child will not be expected to make eye contact, use a particular body language style, or communicate in a way that feels unnatural to them.

Instead, we'll focus on skills that can support meaningful connection while respecting their communication style, preferences, and sensory needs.

We'll explore questions such as:

  • “What helps me feel comfortable?”

  • “How can I communicate what I need?”

  • “How can I show someone I'm interested in what they're saying?”

  • “What can I do when we don't agree?”

  • “What makes a friendship feel good to me?”

Each family will complete a brief intake to make sure Connect Club is a good fit for their child's social communication needs and for the group.
